About Me

My name is Rene Spence. Scottish-born, I have called Kyneton home since 2015.

A clear drive for helping others emerged for me in 2019 when I encountered my own midlife challenges. Thinking at length about my life’s purpose, I articulated my core values: health, love, curiosity, service, and adventure. I have since studied Psychology and hold a Master of Counselling, embarking upon a second career to help others unpack their own unique experiences and make sense of their story thus far. I am passionate about celebrating the ephemeral nature of life and want to see others harness the opportunities within challenge, moving towards wholeness and fulfilment. I currently work part-time as a school counsellor in addition to seeing adults in private practice.

I live on five acres with my wife, two boys, and a rambunctious Vizsla under the watchful care of a remnant Melliodora gum on Taungurung Country, just outside of Kyneton.
